Be surprised with the beaches
Undoubtedly, Costa Calma houses some of the most beautiful beaches you can find on the island. Kilometres of fine golden sand and calm, clear water cover the entire coast of the area. Costa Calma, Playa Barca, Playa Esmeralda, Playa del Viejo Rey… choose your favourite one or better yet, visit them all: each of them is a paradise in itself.
Windsurfing and kiteboarding in the best conditions
Costa Calma is a mecca for water and wind sports in southern Fuerteventura. Top-level schools offer all kinds of facilities to enjoy these fascinating sports at all levels. No wonder, a round of the World Windsurfing and Kiteboarding Championship is held in one of its beaches every year, in the months of July and August.
Sicasumbre: Let’s watch stars
But not just of sea and coast is the island made. The range of activities and resources extends also inland. One of the newest activities offered by Fuerteventura, given its magnificent lighting and geographical conditions, is star watching. From the viewpoint of Sicasumbre, which is also a work of art, do not miss admiring the star-studded night sky.
Eco-tourism at Fuerteventura Oasis Park
Less than 10 kilometres away from Costa Calma is La Lajita, a small coastal town that holds the Fuerteventura Oasis Park, a zoo and botanical park of great dimensions that is home to an endless variety of animal and plant species. Having a swim with sea lions is one of the funniest activities you can carry out on your visit.
